Wordpress

Used by millions of websites, the platform itself is free to use (you need to pay for hosting and domain name).

It can be a bit of a monster, 90% of the repair work we do is Wordpress related.

We can provide hosting, but to maintain the integrity of our servers, we will only do this if purchased alongside a maintenance plan.

Woocommerce

Woocommerce is built on the Wordpress platfrom, and like Wordpress, it has its downsides.

If setup and maintenance are done correctly it does the job ... millions of businesses use it successfully for their ecommerce.

Adobe Commerce (Magento)

Geared to enterprise level stores, Magento (now renamed Adobe Commerce) is an absolute beast and incredibly powerful in terms of ecommerce specific options.

The most advanced options are only available with Adobe Commerce Pro and a hefty price tag starting at £2000 per month.

We use Adobe Commerce Open Source, and whilst open source generally means 'free', most of the customisation is done in the code rather than tick box options in the admin. Unless you're an experienced developer yourself (in which case you wouldn't be looking to hire us), setup and modifications can get expensive.
